Mr. Ken Hitchcock is the Director of the Pickens County Career & Technology Center.  He earned his undergraduate degree from the Citadel in Charleston, SC.  He graduated from Daniel High School and earned his master’s degree from Clemson University.  He is currently working on his Education Specialist Degree at Furman University.  From 1989 to 1992 he taught social studies and coached football at Calhoun County High School & Greenwood High School.   After teaching for fourteen years, he served as the instructional coach for Liberty High School and coached football for Liberty High School.  Mr. Hitchcock then served as the assistant principal for Easley High School for five years. His goal for the C3 program is to help students’ graduate high school and prepare them for college and/or career.  The mission of the C3 program is to help each student obtain the skills they will need to begin college and/or enter the workforce.

Jeromy Arnett was named a 2013 South Carolina Ambassador for Economic Development and the 2013 Business and Industry Friend by the South Carolina Association of School Administration, Jeromy has worked to develop the apprenticeship programs at UTM that pull students directly from Pickens County Career and Technology Center.  While working as Chairman of the School District of Pickens County Business and Education Alliance, Jeromy has worked to strengthen the communication between business and industry in Pickens County.  A graduate of Liberty High School and Southern Wesleyan University, Jeromy believes that the key to building a strong workforce for Pickens County’s future is through educating children, kindergarten through high school, of the multitude of opportunities that exist today in manufacturing.
